Junior Competition

Basketball is a fantastic way for kids to get active, make new friends, and build confidence. At GABA, we’re proud to offer inclusive junior competitions that welcome players of all abilities, from as young as six years old through to under 18s.

Our junior competition runs year-round (with breaks during school and public holidays) and is split into two seasons

  • Summer Season: October to April

  • Winter Season: May to August

Players are grouped by year of birth, not school year, and age divisions are reset at the start of each new season to ensure fair, developmentally appropriate competition.

Whether your child is just starting out or already has a few seasons under their belt, our junior programs are designed to nurture their skills, boost their confidence, and keep the love of the game alive in every match.

Senior Competition

Basketball isn’t just for kids - at GABA, we have strong and active men's and women's senior competitions. Whether you’re returning to the court, playing socially with mates, or keen to stay competitive, there’s a place for you in our senior league.

Our senior comp runs throughout summer and winter, with breaks during school and public holidays.

Games are played at Activewest Stadium, creating a vibrant atmosphere where players, families, and supporters come together each week.

To keep the games enjoyable and fair for everyone, teams are graded based on ability —ensuring evenly matched contests and plenty of close, exciting finishes. Players can register through PlayHQ via their club or team, while individual players looking to join a team can reach out to a club directly.

So whether your goal is fitness, fun, friendship, or fierce competition, GABA’s senior leagues offer the perfect way to stay active, connected, and in the game.
